N5A Satin Black Restoration Fire Helmet

This N5A fire helmet is headed back to the streets after a full exterior restoration, bringing new life to a lid that originally came in yellow. The helmet was stripped down and repainted in a smooth satin black finish, giving it a clean, durable, and service-ready appearance.

The crushed retro brass—previously painted black—was carefully straightened, brushed down, and fully cleaned before being refinished with a rich metallic gold paint layer, restoring its classic character and visual depth. The original Bourke’s eye shields and liner were reinstalled to maintain authenticity, fit, and functionality.

With its refreshed finish, restored brass, and original components back in place, this N5A is once again firehouse-ready and built to see real action. We can’t wait to watch it perform where it belongs—on the fireground. Enjoy and stay safe.
